(Julep) Maya

Julep describes Maya as a "peachy pink seashell" and honestly, that's spot on! It has a great shimmer too, shiny and shimmering splendid! It's also kind of frosty with brushstrokes, but they aren't as bad as some others I've dealt with.

(more after the break)

When I first saw this color in the January "Classic with a Twist" box I was like 'mehhhhhhhhh'. I agree that is probably my closest match as far as styles go, but this color wasn't speaking to me. It reminded me of my granma, not that she doesn't rock her nails (seriously why didn't I inherit her nail genes D:) but it looks old fashioned.

Then... then I put it on and wore it for about a day. Which is a long time for me.

It was just... it was awesome! It spoke to me man! Haha ok but seriously, it's subtle enough that I felt comfortable wearing it around without getting a bunch of strange looks, which I usually get with my more outlandish colors. Seriously, does nobody do their nails at college? All I see are poorly done french tips and bright neon pink! Gah!

Y'all probably know the drill by now- Maya is $14 like all the other Julep polishes, but if you become a Maven the price drops to $11.20 and if you get it in the January box? 46 dollars worth of stuff for 20. Two polishes by themselves is $28! You'll get Maya, Taylor and their pomegranate body scrub all for $20.

Can you tell I'm excited? I'm excited. I love this program.

I have another box on the way as we speak. Next post will either be another Julep swatch or a pic of my Julep stash xD

<3 and sunshine! I can't tell you how much these boxes brighten up my day!!
